In 2006, I completed a four-year core training in psychotherapy at WPF Therapy in London. I subsequently spent a further year at the Tavistock, also in London, deepening my therapeutic responses to clients presenting with trauma and PTSD.
In the years since, I have worked as a therapist in the NHS and the voluntary sector; maintained a private practice; and have been a clinical manager of counselling services in the public sector. I am registered and accredited with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and abide by their code of ethics. I am also a professional member of the Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling (FPC).
I place considerable store on initiatives that strengthen my practice as a psychotherapist including regular supervision with a senior practitioner and participation in professional workshops and seminars. I am also pursuing BACP accreditation in supervision.
I have degrees from Teesside, Glasgow and Reading universities.
