In 2006, I completed a four-year core training in psychotherapy at WPF Therapy in London. I spent a further year at the Tavistock, also in London, focusing on the treatment of clients living with the impact of trauma and/or experiencing PTSD. I am also accredited in delivering the 16-session brief therapy intervention, Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy.

Before embarking on a career in psychotherapy, I worked in the international development sector, with a specific focus on supporting countries and communities in the throes of violent conflict or beginning the slow process of rebuilding democratic structures and viable services.

Strengthening my current practice as a psychotherapist is an ongoing priority. This includes regular supervision with a senior practitioner and engaging in professional workshops and seminars.

I have degrees from Teesside, Glasgow and Reading universities.
